That's right, pops of red. As you may or may not know, red is my favorite color and when Dani and her mom kept talking about adding in these pops of red to the different parts of her session, I was just so into it. I knew it was going to tie all the different aspects of her shoot together but to be honest, I had no idea that the final outcome would be so stunning!
So if you were wondering, yes those are RED pointe ballet shoes. I am not sure you can even buy these but if Dani has learned anything from her incredible mom, it's that spray paint and duct tape can make anything possible. So yep, you guessed it... those shoes are SPRAY PAINTED RED! I had no idea that it would work so well but man was that little experiment soooo worth it!
I know, I know, Dani totally nailed it in those shoes and tutu. We had such a blast running around Old Town Fort Collins and I am so thankful that Dani was willing to show off her moves and put up with walking around in those pointe shoes, which I assume do very little to protect her feet from rocks and other things found in back alley ways. But I think these gorgeous images were so worth every second!
Next we decided to run around a bit downtown but without the tutu. But don't worry, we may have traded out those ballet slippers but the heels that Dani wore instead were just as amazing!
And then, to wrap up the night, we went out to battle the worst swarm of mosquitoes I have ever seen down by the river. It was completely absurd but even with all the swatting, we were able to capture some gorgeous images. We used those red heels again and this time added a gorgeous floral crown with, you guessed it, pops of red. The results are pretty stunning!
And to wrap up the night, we even took a dip in the river. It was an incredible session and as you can see, the pops of red were such a great touch. It not only ties the session all together but it just helps show more of Dani's spirit.
