I remember way back when we first started planning Morgan's session and I was so jazzed about all the different looks she wanted to showcase. We knew we wanted to do a little different location and showcase her car but we also wanted to capture some beautiful scenery here in Colorado. We had a lot of ideas and I really think that we were able to put it all together to showcase so many different sides of Morgan.
First up, we were able to partner with Flip Side Arcade in downtown Loveland to do some senior pictures that are not what you typically imagine. Even in a pandemic, the arcade employees were so kind to open up early for us so we could have some space to create. Since we were going to be using the arcade lights, we knew that these images weren't going to be the typical kind. We played with color and angles and had a lot of fun getting outside the box and being creative.
After our time at the arcade, we snuck just down the street to an amazing checkered patterned wall to use as a backdrop. The idea here was to showcase Morgan with her car and even though the light was BRIGHT, we were able to make it work. You would have no idea that this is actually the side of a liquor store... a great backdrop for a photo can be found almost anywhere!
Once we finished with Morgan's car, we actually took a break for a couple hours. Morgan was able to meet with my fabulous hair and makeup artist, Brooke, and change up her look a little. Using a professional for hair and makeup is such a fun way to get a polished look without any worry. Brooke is able to do a fabulous natural look or even something more dramatic but no matter what, its a polished version of yourself that gets you ready to step in front of the camera. And lets just say that Morgan was so ready to kill it at the second half of our session.
I love how Morgan showed off her school spirit by rocking those school colors, poms, and her letterman's jacket. Our next stop had a quick change both in outfit and scenery but also some fun details. I'll just let the images speak for themselves!
I know guys, Morgan showed SO MUCH diversity with her outfits, details, and locations. And we aren't even done yet! Wait until you see this perfect t-shirt and jeans look! Shout out to Vintage Willows boutique in downtown Loveland who helped Morgan find this perfect look.
We had to add just another personal touch to this look with the addition of Morgan's dad's jeep. I love the personal connection and the fun way we could use this jeep to showcase even more of Morgan's fun and carefree side and that gorgeous Colorado backdrop!
If I have learned anything from Morgan's senior pictures, its that being yourself makes for the perfect session. Your senior portraits should not be a cookie cutter copy of someone else's but rather they should showcase what you love and what you are passionate about and those things that are important to you.
I would love to plan out the perfect session to show off your personality so that you can be totally yourself in your images.
