I am so exited to introduce you to Sarah who I was honored to capture her senior portraits last fall. I really love this session for a couple reasons. One is that the outfits that Sarah selected were perfect in showing variety and great colors. I also loved being able to watch Sarah blossom in front of my camera.
For her first look, Sarah decided on a sunny yellow top and jeans. It was perfect for the warm September afternoon when we started her session. We chose to start at a local open space in Fort Collins that was just full of that late day sunshine.
The open space that we used has this great open field but also a bridge, access to the river, big tall trees, and so much more. Once Sarah changed into a super cute dress and denim jacket, we were able to use some of those other spots for more variety and even were able to capture some fall colors.
For Sarah's last look, we headed up to Horsetooth Reservoir to a lookout that provides some really epic views. Sarah changed into the perfect neutral romper and the girly look was perfect with the rocks, trees, and views.
Before we wrapped up for the evening, we wanted to capture just a couple more images in the yellow top and jeans from before so Sarah did one last change of clothes to finish out the night.
Sarah was so awesome in front of the camera at her session and that really helps us create genuine images that are natural and flattering and ones that seniors and their families love. But its hard when you are the center of everything, you have a camera aimed at your face, and there is this fear of how the images will turn out. I totally get it! But that's all part of the reason that I love what I do!
My senior images are often described as authentic, fun, joy-filled, playful, beautiful - and that has everything to do with my seniors knowing that their session is a safe place to be themselves. Its not about pretending to be something your not, its about showing off who you are! And when my senior and I can connect in that space, the outcome is images that are exactly what everyone wanted from the session. I love being able to help my clients get more comfortable in front of the camera. I help them pose and figure out what to do with their hands but I also create the space for them to just be themselves. The results are images that you want of your kiddo to display in your home for decades!
I am excited to meet this new class of seniors and to help them be themselves in front of the camera. The Ultimate Senior Portrait Experience that I provide helps us plan a session that is full of personality and we are able to connect in a way that allows them to feel safe in being themselves at their session. We want these seniors to know just how amazing they are and I love creating an experience that really honors and celebrates them! I would love to have you reach out with any questions you may have and you can head here to my contact page to do that or to book your session. Let's do this thing!!
